General Hux

“I won’t have you question my methods”
– General Hux, Star Wars: The Force Awakens

A young, ruthless officer in the First Order, General Hux has complete confidence in his troops, training methods and weapons. A rival of Kylo Ren’s, Hux eagerly awaits the day when the First Order’s technological innovations will help bring down the hated New Republic and the Resistance, and considers it his destiny to rule the galaxy. Due to his upbringing, Armitage believed that the New Republic was weak and would never live up to the supreme power of the Old Empire. Many other Imperial officers also fled to the Unknown Regions along with the Huxes, where they would create the First Order, a military and political junta that rose from the ashes of the fallen Empire and followed its imperial ideology. Using technological terror, Hux achieved military superiority throughout the Order, eventually gaining the rank of General.

While General Hux wasn’t the greatest soldier, he considered himself a great leader, of course hoping to become the Supreme Leader one day. Until that time he would have to use his mind instead of his brawn. Helping him achieve this is the new keyword Dictate, which allows Hux to give his order that he would have been issued to two First Order corps units. This gives the First Order more order control on the battlefield.

General Hux’s command cards are sure to make his presence known on the battlefield. A Orbital Strike from the First Order is going to leave some damage, after Hux’s activation he will roll a red defense die. Depending on the result, Hux will make x amount of attacks to his enemies. As Supreme Leader Snoke once said “A cur’s weakness, properly manipulated, can be a sharp tool” and this is true for Hux’s 2 pip command card. If Hux decides to inflict 2 damage to himself, all units with a faceup order token can perform 1 free action at the start of their activation. If Hux can do anything right, it’s give an inspiring speech, his third command card does exactly that. His hatred filled words for the New Republic give him inspire 3 and fire support.
